AN AMARANTE HEALTH EXPLORATION

How can I feel good in the years ahead?

The goal is not to turn back a clock. It is to support function, independence and the everyday experiences that make later life meaningful.

01 / THE BIGGER PICTURE

Before the ingredient, understand the question.

01

Strength, balance, movement, adequate nutrition and social participation contribute to healthy ageing.

02

Prevention, vaccination and management of health conditions often make a larger difference than fashionable longevity products.

03

Claims about “cellular age” should be interpreted cautiously when meaningful human outcomes are not established.

02 / WHERE SCIENCE HELPS

What the evidence can—and can't—tell us.

Longevity studies often measure biomarkers in cells, animals or short-term human experiments. These outcomes should not be confused with evidence that a supplement helps people live longer or better.

Different populations, doses and outcomes can produce different conclusions. A promising biological mechanism is not proof that a product improves health.

03 / QUESTIONS THAT MATTER

Three questions worth asking next.

  1. Am I trying to improve strength, sleep, mobility or another concrete outcome?
  2. Does the study measure quality of life or just a marker?
  3. Would food, movement or medical care be a more important first step?
